ABOUT

J Hope is a multi-genre violinist and singer-songwriter from East London. At the age of 5, he began fostering his love for music and cultivating his craft by classically training as a violinist. He trained at Newham Academy, CYM and has been in orchestras including LSSO and Chineke. Classical music was the foundation, but he yearned for a deeper connection with the music he was playing. Since 2015 he has widened the spectrum of his craft to genres closer to home - paving the way for solo performances across the UK at some of the most prestigious venues, as well as European tours for Damien Escobar, Ebony Bones, and Steven Bartlett’s ‘Diary of a CEO Live’ sold out tour.

As a recording artist, J Hope’s ‘Cover Tape’ series has been a staple in his musical identity, but over recent years, J Hope has continued to explore the possibilities of his artistry, combining his vocals with the silky tones of his violin. Somewhere between his well-loved violin covers, R&B vocals and captivating performance; you'll be bound by the soul, emotion and one of a kind vibe that J Hope brings.

Having recently featured on the second season of Netflix’s period drama ‘Bridgerton’ and in music videos with the likes of Clean Bandit, NSG and Ray Blk, J Hope undoubtedly projects a widescreen vision of what it means to be an artist with a classical instrument.

"Im in love with this. J Hope you gave this song a new life. Now I wish there was a violin on the actual song."
Ella Mai x Glamour Mag

"King, you're a genius when at work."
Damien Escobar

"You are going in. Who told you to snap!"
Steven Bartlett

Please contact enquiries@jhopestrings.com with any questions.

Learning

Your child will learn all the essential skills to begin their violin journey or enhance the skills they already have, with a mixture of classical and modern methods I have developed over the past 5 years of teaching.

If you've ever heard 'violin is boring' or your child hasn't had the chance to find a love for it, this is the chance!

As a classically trained violinist, I know what it is like to fall in and out of love with an instrument. But I discovered new ways to relate to this amazingly versatile instrument, and I want to share it with the next generation of musicians.

Pricing

The price for this crash course is £499. You can pay in full or in instalments via Klarna.
